This year’s 25th New York Asian Film Festival has been another epic trip around Asian films, including and not limited to Lan Hongchun’s latest, Dear You. Well Go USA is taking the reins on the pic with a September 4 release, and have unveiled a poster along with a raft of stills in the slides beneath the following announcement:
ALLEN, Texas (July 23, 2026) – Following its North American premiere at the New York Asian Film Festival, the Chinese critical and box office hit DEAR YOU is set for a US and Canadian theatrical release on September 4 from leading international and indie film distributor Well Go USA Entertainment. A multi-generational story of love and loyalty, DEAR YOU is directed by Lan Hongchun and stars early-career actors Li Sitong, Wang Yantong, Wu Shaoqing, Zheng Runqi, and Wang Xiaohui.
A debt-ridden grandson travels to Thailand to find the grandfather he believes abandoned their family, hoping the man behind years of qiaopi letters and remittances can help pay his debts. Instead, he uncovers a lifelong act of love and sacrifice. Inspired by overseas Chinese traditions, DEAR YOU has become a breakout success, touching global audiences with its story of family and devotion.
