The first official sales art has arrived via Fangoria’s Amber T for Steve Kostanski’s Deathstalker, a revamp of late producer Roger Corman’s sword-and-sorcery film saga. The film, starring Daniel Bernhardt and Patton Oswalt, is currently set for an Out Of Competition premiere at the 78th Locarno Film Festival this Friday.
The Kingdom of Abraxeon is under siege by Dreadites, heralds of the dead sorcerer Nekromemnon. When Deathstalker finds a cursed amulet, he’s marked by dark magick and hunted by monstrous assassins. To survive, he must break the curse or die trying.
Also starring are Christina Orjalo, Paul Lazenby, and Nicholas Rice. Shout! Studios, a Radial Entertainment company, announced its acquisition of the film last month for North American distribution, with an October 10 release date in toe.
