Denzel Washington's Heroic Silhouette Graces The New Poster For THE EQUALIZER

Actor Denzel Washington gets his day as the monastic avenger against criminal injustice when his new film, The Equalizer, releases in theaters on September 26. Not much to add here except we’re now three months away from the film’s theatrical release and the prospects of a sequel are already looking good, so we’re bound to see what Sony’s strategy here will be between now and then, following Wednesday’s brand new poster reveal for the film which can check out below:

SYNOPSIS:

In The Equalizer, Denzel Washington plays McCall, a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston. When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall’s desire for justice is reawakened. If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, and they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer.

The Equalizer is based on the 1985-1989 television series of the same name starring late actor Edward Woodward. Washington is joined by actress Chloe Grace-Moretz, along with Dan Bilzerian, Martin Csokas and Melissa Leo.
