Dylan O'Brien Is A Soldier Of Vengeance In A First Look Photo For Michael Cuesta's AMERICAN ASSASSIN

Actor Dylan O’Brien is back on his feet following a bad spill on the set of Wes Ball’s Maze Runner: The Death Cure back in April, which forced a halt on the production. That film is set to recommence in February for 20th Century Fox while the actor pivots to director Michael Cuesta’s latest, American Assassin from CBS Films and Lionsgate, to which O’Brien was cast in May.

Stephen Schiff adapted the script from Vincent Flynn’s 2010 novel – an origin story among the fourteen books that focuses the main character, CIA black ops recruit Mitch Rapp and his endeavors. As the story goes, O’Brien leads the story as Rapp whose period of grieving brings a chance to deliver justice to his financeé’s killers when he is courted by Cold War veteran Stan Hurley, played by Michael Keaton. Actress Sanaa Lathan stars as CIA Deputy Director Irene Kennedy who assigns them to investigate a spate of seemingly random attacks on military and civilian targets. Actress Shiva Negar plays the lethal Turkish agent who aides Rapp and Hurley on their mission which ultimately finds them in a race against time to stop World War III and its instigator, a mysterious foe played by Taylor Kitsch.
More info and content is expected as production continues while it is Deadline that brings us our latest first look at O’Brien in character which you can view in full below.
