Earlier this month, UK distro outlet Eureka Entertainment made way with several 4K restoration announcements debuting in the region on Blu-Ray in the next few months host to the iconic and legendary work of action maestro Jackie Chan. Two of those titles will come packages together for a specialized release for fans with Police Story and Police Story 2 which now come branded with an official trailer ahead of an August release.
Both films will have English and original Cantonese audio tracks which ardent fans of Hong Kong action cinema will easily appreciate. This, next to the continued sustenance of Chan’s screen persona – Ka-Kui’s bone breaking and death defying action, gags, stunts and memorable moments featuring Maggie Cheung, Lam Kwok-Hung, Benny Lai (fondly known as the “abba-abba” guy), late actor Bill Tung and the old school JC Stuntmen Association therein, should make for a more than ample deal for Blu-Ray consumers.
