Probably one of the more known unknowns at this point is whether or not action icon Jackie Chan will be performing his usual assortment of big stunt feats for his current production, Skiptrace. He likely did it for his recently wrapped epic actioner, Dragon Blade, but with his newest film now already in production, the new film is adding some extra athletic muscle.
Meet WWE Diva Eve Torres, wife of pioneering Gracie Jiu-Jitsu purveyor and instructor, Rener Gracie. Torres herself is an actress, model, dancer and martial artist who has already done some training before flying out to China for her newly cast role in Chan‘s film. She posted the following message on her blog:
Hi Believers,
I am SUPER excited to announce that I am off to Beijing, China for a sweet role in an upcoming film! I am totally thrilled because I will be working with one of my childhood idols, Jackie Chan! I will be learning from the best, working hard, and having a blast, so I may have limited internet access in China. I will try to keep you guys posted with pictures, blogs, and updates over the next couple months!

The film, as it stands, will be directed by Renny Harlin and centers around Chan as a detective whose only means of rescuing his niece from the crosshairs of a crime syndicate is through an uneasy alliance with a gambler. I suppose the real question (aside from whether or not Torres‘s role will be a heroine or a possible villainess), is how much of the signature Chan-style action we will see in his newest passion project. As usual, time will tell.
Chan and Torres are joined by Johnny Knoxville and Fan Bingbing for the film’s release next year.
