Yes, that and of course all else pertains to the core of multi-acclaimed filmmaker Morten Tyldum’s latest space romance opera, Passengers, which opens this December. It’s two people aboard a spaceship that gets screwed in the worst possible way amid what was supposed to be a long-term deep space hibernation for two people looking for life elsewhere among the stars. Calamity ensues, along with tons of suspense and thrills, and with Andy Garcia and Laurence Fishburne in the mix as well…
..But never mind that. Martin Sheen has robot uni-leg, and he headdesks the f*ck out of a bar countertop with his head and clears all in his path. Acting, ladies and gents, and funny as hell.
SYNOPSIS:
Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are two passengers onboard a spaceship transporting them to a new life on another planet. The trip takes a deadly turn when their hibernation pods mysteriously wake them 90 years before they reach their destination. As Jim and Aurora try to unravel the mystery behind the malfunction, they begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction… only to be threatened by the imminent collapse of the ship and the discovery of the truth behind why they woke up.
