EXCLUSIVE: Rossatron Talks ‘The Fall Of Die Hard’

Once home to 20th Century Fox and now owned by the Walt Disney Company, the Die Hard film series catapulted to success in 1988 with actor Bruce Willis leading the narrative.

Its $1.4 billion dollar global gross notwithstanding however, there was never a sixth installment before Disney took ownership. Whether or not you believe there should be another Die Hard film, YouTube essayist Rossatron makes the case for discussion as to why in his latest video, The Fall Of Die Hard.

Elucidating each film, Ross explores the very elements that made Die Hard, and its hero, so relatable and tangible to audiences between the first three films. He exhibits the respective styles and circumstances for each film in his analysis along with the characters and overall fallout of each film, right down to the drawbacks of the franchise that ultimately affect its current viability with respect to any talk in recent memory of a sixth film of any kind.

He’s got some fair points all around, too. As much as I’ve pointed this out on my site before, A Good Day To Die Hard had me falling hard asleep by the end that I missed a whole stunt sequence. Really, much of the film was pretty unengaging that I regretted not renting this film instead.

That doesn’t mean I don’t want more Die Hard. I do. But the question Ross asks here is a more-than legitimate one. Enjoy!
