EXILED: THE CHOSEN ONES Is A Brutal Exhibition Of Violence And Gore In The First Teaser Trailer

Welp, less than a year in after trying to crowdfund one project, filmmaker Ranjeet S. Marwa least expected he’d be ramping up three more instead. Assuredly, the Covid-19 pandemic became pivotal in how things eventually fluctuated among other factors, and thus, he we are with Marwa’s latest priority, Exiled: The Chosen Ones, which wrapped principal photography last month.

After a man-made virus failed to reduce the world’s overpopulated areas, global leaders would start a new program that would legitimize a new venture in a game show. The game would be broadcast live, where random contestants would be exiled into a concrete jungle, forced to kill each other for their freedom. Viewers would place their bets on who had a chance at survival. Be that as it may…no one survives the game.

Make no mistake here in noticing actor Sunny Pang’s name having recurred all year in news updates with Marwa’s projects. He’s had every intention of putting the Singaporean action star center stage after his performances in Headshot and The Night Comes For Us (indubitably, Pang is just as relenting in James Lee’s independent actioner, Kill-Fist, and I know how frustrated most of you are that it hasn’t seen the light of day – when it does, I promise you, you won’t regret it).

That Marwa’s efforts come by no short order with the help and consultation of celebrated director Timo Tjahjanto who is still attached as consultant on Marwa’s forthcoming thriller, Blood Rush, speaks to the long and hard-earned progress that’s being made thusfar. With Blood Rush and Traced in tow, along with possible sequel hopes for Exiled: The Chosen Ones, for Marwa, 2021 is looking up.

Alas, the work continues. The first official, intense, action-packed and quite red-bandy trailer is up and running which you can now view above.

Exiled: The Chosen Ones also stars Hannah Al-Rashid, Oka Antara and Nisaro Karim, and is a Silent D Pictures & Rocket Sky High Motion Pictures Production.
