One of the more impressive and rather important aspects of writer and director Ranjeet S. Marwa’s new thriller, Exiled: The Chosen Ones, was getting all the pieces needed to complete his new film after wrapping principal photography late last year in Birmingham, U.K..
Alas, if you’ve been keeping up with Marwa’s social media posts on Instagram, you’ll have noticed the director cheering on his second unit’s completion of footage over in Jakarta welcoming the addition of actor Oka Antara (The Raid 2, Foxtrot Six)with a new look at his role as a rifle-touting assassin mysteriously eyeing a target. As to the identity of the character he’s aiming at remains a mystery, though such is only befitting of a PR move so as to help keep the suspense going.
Production is just about close to finished with Marwa on track to deliver the new film in 2021 – release details pending, of course. To mark the milestone, Marwa and producer Djonny Chen have thrown together a new poster which you may view below.
After a man-made virus failed to reduce the world’s overpopulated areas, global leaders would start a new program that would legitimize a new venture in a game show. The game would be broadcast live, where random contestants would be exiled into a concrete jungle, forced to kill each other for their freedom. Viewers would place their bets on who had a chance at survival. Be that as it may…no one survives the game.
Marwa directs a cast joined by Antara, headlining Singaporean actor Sunny Pang, actress Hannah Al-Rashid and actors Nisaro Karim, along with James Jay Bryan and Nick Khan. The film is produced by Marwa via Rocket Sky High Motion Pictures Ltd. and by Chen via Silent D Pictures.
