FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM Sets The Beasts Loose In The New Teaser

Eighteen years, seven book and eight films later, Warner Bros. has all but earned well over 7.7 billion reasons to move forward with author J.K. Rowling’s 2001 extension of the Harry Potter universe, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Director David Yates, who helmed four of the eight preceding Harry Potter films, is the man behind the lens and accordinly gets double the attention this month following the most recent trailer premiere for his upcoming summer spectacle, The Legend Of Tarzan.

SYNOPSIS:

Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”) stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four “Harry Potter” blockbusters.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

It’s also been a notably good week for Redmayne in the wake of his most recent SAG nomination for Best Actor in Tom Hooper’s The Danish Girl, among other nominations it received, thus making it an even bigger week and better time to give Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them the attention it deserves. As such, Warner Bros has officially launched the teaser and website following announcements last week with a release date set for November 18, 2016.
