Filmart 2026: First Look At Malaysia/Hong Kong Action Thriller BLACK OPS!

Screendaily is showcasing a first look at Black Ops, director Syafiq Yusof’s latest reunion with his Blood Brothers star Sharnaaz Ahmad. The word is Malaysia’s Skop Productions is launching sales at Filmart in Hong Kong this week in association with Hong Kong’s One Cool Film Production.

The Malay-language action thriller follows an elite Black Ops operative who is forced to turn against his own unit to unravel a conspiracy after being framed for the murder of his wife and the disappearance of their daughter.

Yusof is sharing the helm on Black Ops with the film’s original creator, burgeoning Hong Kong filmmaker Chui Tze Yiu (Showbiz Spy, Remember What I Forgot), with Ken Law (Golden Horse Award-nominated and upcoming Hong Kong Film Awards-nominatex Good Game), and and Sean Lin (Back To The Past) serving as action choreographers.

Skop’s Sharmin Yusof and One Cool’s Tang Wai But are producing ahead of an expected release in November. Ahmad shared some more goods from the action thriller this week in a post on Instagram which you can check out here. Have a look, and then read more at Screendaily.
