“Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’” showcases the return of Frieza—one of the anime world’s greatest villains—as well as God of Destruction Beerus and Whis from “Battle of Gods.” In this latest story, Frieza is resurrected and takes his revenge on the Z-Fighters of Earth. Goku and Vegeta must reach new levels of power in order to protect Earth from their vengeful nemesis.

U.S. and Canadian fans are eagerly awaiting “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F,’” which is already a smash hit in Japan. According to Deadline Hollywood, “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’” opened at number one in Japan, as the only territory where “Fast & Furious 7” did not top the box office charts on its opening weekend.

“We are pleased to partner with FUNimation once again, to bring the popular Dragon Ball Z franchise to our network of U.S. cinemas,” said Fathom Events CEO John Rubey. “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, was a rousing success, and we know that anime fans will respond just as enthusiastically to Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F.’”
