Fans looking to tune into something or anything Vin Diesel-related can now pan over to new photos being released teasing the actor’s incarnation of Valiant Comics’ supersoldier, Bloodshot. Diesel will be on hand on Thursday alongside fellow Fast And Furious cohorts Tyrese Gibson and Sung Kang and Reach Out WorldWide CEO Cody Walker for the fourth annual fundraising event.
The photos provide a sneak peak at some of the signed, exclusive prizes, rewards and collectibles (of which there are more than a dozen) straight from the set of Diesel’s new film currently in production in Cape Town, South Africa. The fundraiser goes directly to promoting and supporting ROWW’s agenda of providing natural disaster relief and support across the globe – as previously envisioned by Cody’s brother, late actor Paul Walker who founded the firm in 2010 in response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti; Paul’s life and legacy will also be honored during the event as well.
Dave Wilson is directing Bloodshot, based on the Valiant Entertainment comic book franchise that launched in 1992 with multiple award nominations and more than seven million copies sold ever since. Diesel will portray Ray Garrison, a soldier killed in action and resurrected by weapons contractor Rising Spirit Technologies through the use of nanotechnology. Suffering from total memory loss but imbued with an array of staggering new abilities, Ray struggles to reconnect with who he was while learning what sort of weapon he has become…aided by a team of fellow augmented combatants codenamed Chainsaw.
