GLADIATOR UNDERGROUND: The Martial Arts Death Games Begin In The Official Trailer!

I’ve been touting director Chaya Supannarat’s Gladiator Underground for the last several days, assuring folks that they hold onto their jewels while watching this movie. Indeed, you won’t see much in the official trailer now running online except for a fair bit of the explosive martial arts action and violence you can namely expect from the cast and crew of this audacious film.

Max and Wu, brothers & long-time rivals, are competing in the world’s most dangerous underground fighting tournament, where powerful crime lords gamble on every detail — from the opponents, to the terrain, to the weapons used.

In this high-stakes bloodsport where one wrong move means certain death, they must decide whether to play by the rules or set their honor aside and team up against the dark syndicate controlling the tournament — and bring the entire system down.

My review a little later toward the film’s release will cover some more ground as we approach this film’s release. What I can say, to this end, is expect everything you rightfully would from the Martial Club crop: Incumbent with palpable drama and depth, expect flying fists, feet, fatalities, and full-throttle violence that takes any seminal work of the boys you’ve seen online and cranks it up to an R-rated MFing bajillion…

BAJILLION. I never use this word. Good God…

Gladiator Underground stars Andy Le, D.Y. Sao, and Brian Le, along with Craig Ng, Apasiri Kulthanan, Selina Wiesmann, and Geoffrey Giuliano, and features kinetic action sequences by Joseph Le. Samuel Goldwyn Films will release the film on Digital beginning October 17.
