GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS Rules In CG In A New Set Pic

Paving the way for more monster madness is director Michael Dougherty’s Godzilla: King Of The Monsters. A March 22, 2019 release date is in tow from Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures as this next foray into cinematic MonsterVerse inches forward, and the helmer just teased a new progress image in his latest tweet below.

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Dougherty directs from a script he wrote with Zach Shields, and a cast that includes Oscar nominees Vera Farmiga, and Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins both reprising their Godzilla roles with Kyle Chandler, actress Millie Bobby Brown in her feature film debut, actors Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance and O’Shea Jackson Jr., and actresses Aisha Hinds and Golden Globe nominee Zhang Ziyi.
