Godzilla x Kong: Supernova is the name of the film now shooting from director Grant Sputore for Warner Bros. The title reveal comes a month after production was announced, returning the studio’s Monsterverse saga once more to the region.
Per Variety‘s Naman Ramachandran back in April, the new sequel reads that “fan favorites Godzilla and Kong will unite against ‘a cataclysmic world-ending threat,” continuing the franchise’s penchant for apocalyptic stakes,'”; Sputore is directing from a script by Dave Callaham (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse) and Michael Lloyd Green (I Am Mother).
Dan Stevens will reprise his role from the previous film and joins a cast that lists Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Sam Neill, Matthew Modine, and Delroy Lindo. Godzilla x Kong: Supernova opens in theaters on March 26, 2027.
