Greece Leaps Into Battle In The New Trailer For 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE

Actor Sullivan Stapleton, best known for his role in the latest action series from Cinemax, Strike Back, makes the big jump onto the big screen in the trailer for the March 7, 2014 release of director Noam Murro‘s sequel thriller, 300: Rise Of An Empire. The film is also co-written and produced by Man Of Steel helmer, Zack Snyder who directed the 2006 predecessor, 300. Both movies are based on the writings of graphic novel author Frank Miller following endeavors of the Greek Army going up against impeccable odds in the most epic of theatrical battles to defend itself against Persia’s armada.

The film also stars Eva Green, as well as Lena Headey and Rodrigo Santoro reprising their roles from the first film.

SYNOPSIS:

Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes, and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war.“300: Rise of an Empire” pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
