Tohru Fujisawa’s popular GTO franchise comes back to life on Amazon Japan later this month in streaming live-action adaptation, GTO: The Early Years. The official trailer is online and featuring actors Kanichiro, and Daichi Kaneko, based on the longstanding manga series and spin-offs.
The two star in the respective roles of badass Oni-Baku biker duo Eikichi Onizuka and Ryuji Danma, who set out to turn over a new leaf in life, only they’re gonna have to punch a few more faces first. Eiji Uchida (Between Men And The Gods) penned the series and serves as chief director, with Yusaku Matsumoto and Nobuhiro Suzumura directing episodes.
