Help Crowd Fund David Zuckerman’s Debut Action Drama, THE VIGILANTE!

Actor, writer and producer David Zuckerman has seen his fair share of weight in the last year or so having produced a number of shorts and other videos for his indie platform, Creative Jaw Productions. Such project namely include the online sci-fi horror miniseries, Afterworld, and his 2013 film festival fave, Mick The Brick, although nowadays, he’ll be much more seen moving upward into feature length territory with fellow filmmaker Jordan Leach for their current production of a new film that aims to hit equally hard in martial arts action to accomodate the intense drama.

Herein lies the narrative now set in the co-directorial debut of Zuckerman and Leach titled, The Vigilante, a film that takes its cues from movies like Kick-Ass and action star Marko Zaror’s urban crimefighter flick, MirageMan, but removes much of the silliness from the former as it delves into its serious tone.

This is a story about a man, weighted with the disparity around the world. After a failed attempt to save an innocent woman from an attack, our hero, Jon Reese, decides to take a stand against the depravity in this world, and fight. Dawned with a mask and weapons, Jon becomes something greater than he could ever have imagined.  However, heroism isn’t always as easy as one would think.

Zuckerman and Leach have already filmed one half of the movie with their initial resources and are pushing a brand new crowdfunding campaign for funds that could foresee the addition of bigger-named actors, greater set pieces and more elaborate stunts and spectacular martial arts action. As of now, what footage they have can be partially viewed in the form of a teaser now available in their current Indiegogo campaign video which ends in one month.
