Young, the recent author of Scar Comics’s two-volume 2010/2011 graphic novel, “Madam Samurai”, is best known for penning films like Scott Mann’s roaring 2009 action thriller, The Tournament and Daniel Barber’s 2010 vigilante thriller, Harry Brown starring Michael Caine. Shantelle Rochester-Henry and Nancy Bressolles are producing Henry for Nice One Film, along with Gearshift Films’s Jordan Barker and Borga Dorter, and will develop and package for international sales this year with Starline representing.

Starline’s partner and director of acquisitions, Piers Nightingale, who originally came across the project at the Galway Film Fleadh last year, said: “With ‘Harry Brown’ Gary Young showed exceptional talent as a writer and, now doubling up as director, ‘Henry’ promises to be every bit as distinctive.”
Rochester-Henry, Nice One Film’s CEO, said: “‘Henry’ promises to thrill and touch the audience with exceptionally written twists to keep you on the edge of your seat.”
Casting details remain pending while cameras are set to roll in September.
