Hey New York City! Catch YES, AUNTIE!: MY ASIAN AUNTIE Season Two At The Museum Of The Moving Image In January!

East coast film professionals and indie kung fu fans in the tri-state area are invited to attend the official theatrical screening of Yes, Auntie!, the sequential second season of Art School Dropouts’ hit webseries, My Asian Auntie. Curated by Warrington Hudlin, select cast and crew will be in attendance at the Museum Of The Moving Image in the Astoria section of Queens, New York City on January 4, 2019.

This kung fu action–packed nine-episode web series is filled with more kick ass fight scenes, comedic characters, and feel good vibes for all ages! In Season Two, Auntie (Joey Min) and Niece (Stephanie Pham) return alongside crime fighting DEA head, Momma (Legendary Hong Kong Action Star – Bobby Samuels) While mob boss Lester (Leroy Nguyen of Rising Tigers Films) gathers his minions, Assassin Angelo (Angela Jordan) and his mole Jefferson (Robert Jefferson of R4Films), to take care of business, Momma, Auntie, and Niece join forces to take down the disco dancing mob boss and his crew to stop the rampant use of a deadly drug, and serve justice all in a “Jackie Chan” like comedic action!

I’ve already commenced a small series of interviews with select cast members, the first of which you can read here with thoughts from Min about the series, the phenomenon and what lies ahead for his New Jersey-based unit of independent online creatives. A $10 Kickstarter campaign commenced more than a week ago, hosted by Min in a push to dole out a simple “thank you” to followers of his channel who’ve lended their support for the channel.
