I suspect that much has been stirred among Star Trek and Star Wars fans given the recent news regarding director J.J. Abrams, who is also lined up to helm the upcoming Star Wars movie. In my opinion, since I’m neither a Trekkie nor a huge Star Wars fan, and I could care less as to whether or not Han shot first, it doesn’t bother me much that Abrams has the director’s seat for the seventh film. He’s a great filmmaker and I have no question he will bring George Lucas’ s vision to life properly.
Although, I guess some people do care. And so, the battle of geeks continues this week with a new fictional fan film that illustrates how some people believe Abrams got to be the guy behind the movie.
