Jack Huston To Take Flight As THE CROW

It took a several years to make happen following a list of any number of names being circulated to headline Relativity’s forthcoming re-adaptation of The Crow, but now, the word is that Boardwalk Empire co-star, actor Jack Huston is now confirmed to star in the title role proceeding late actor Brandon Lee’s final film in 1994.

Dread Central brought the exclusive over the weekend in which comic book author and creator James O’Barr made Huston’s casting clear while in attendance at the Lexington Toy and Comic Con in Kentucky. Alex Proyas’s 1994 film intially starred Lee based on O’Barr’s 1989 graphic novel centered on a rock musician who is brought back to life by a mystical bird to avenge his own murder and that of his fianceè.

Huston is expected to appear later this year in Burr Steers’s horror romcom nod to Jane Austen in Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, in addition to his title role in Wanted helmer Timur Bekmambetov’s bible epic, Ben-Hur next February. The Crow is said to begin filming this Spring under director Corin Hardy from a script by Cliff Dorfman that will be based directly off the novel, which could mean a different look compared to the previous film.
