Jason Statham Takes Killing To New Heights In The First MECHANIC: RESURRECTION Trailer

It almost feels like a return to normalcy now that we have action star Jason Statham back on our screens with the newest trailer for Dennis Gansel’s Mechanic: Resurrection. The footage is as explosive and fun as you might imagine with Statham back in the role of Arthur Bishop following the firey finish of Simon West’s 2011 remake of the Charles Bronson original.

SYNOPSIS:

Arthur Bishop [Jason Statham] returns as the Mechanic in the sequel to the 2011 action thriller. When the deceitful actions of a cunning but beautiful woman [Jessica Alba] force him to return to the life he left behind, Bishop’s life is once again in danger as he has to complete an impossible list of assassinations of the most dangerous men in the world.

The film itself endured quite a journey toward its completion nearing the end but it’s finally on the way, and loyal Statham followers who’ve been patiently waiting can now breathe a sigh of relief. And with that, you get Statham putting fists in faces, jamming throats and taking out baddies in droves with brutal action scenes designed by J.J. Perry, and a cast that also adds Tommy Lee Jones and Michelle Yeoh. No Yeoh in the trailer though, though it’ll be interesting to see just what kind of role she gets in this one.
Mechanic: Resurrection opens on August 26, and with that in mind, watch the slick new trailer below and catch the latest poster just beneath!
