Joe Carnahan's STRETCH Finally Gets A Trailer And Release Dates!

Director Joe Carnahan‘s latest action comedy has stood the test of time. It was back in January that Universal Pictures initially switched gears and decided it wasn’t in their favor to spend $20 million dollars or more needed to advertise Carnahan‘s latest modestly budgeted $5 million dollar road comedy, Stretch for what would have been its release back in March.

Since then, all news on the film came to a standstill while Carnahan took to Twitter in recent weeks to share random, hilarious behind-the-scenes clips of the film featuring actors Patrick Wilson and Chris Pine, and a few others. Fast forward to this week and the official word now brings the long-awaited action comedy full speed ahead with a new trailer and two release dates, marking one of the first batch of films Jason Blum’s newly launched multiplatform label, BH Tilt.

SYNOPSIS:

A limo driver (Wilson) discovers he only has one shift left to pay off a big debt, and he rolls the dice. When the chauffeur picks up a reclusive billionaire (Pine) with some deviant appetites, the driver vows to fulfill the guy’s every request, no matter how weird, to score the big tip that could square him. But as the night grows stranger and the driver is pushed into some very dangerous encounters, he worries that the freak in his back seat might just be his final fare.

Stretch also stars Brooklyn Decker, Ray Liotta, Jessica Alba, James Badge Dale, Norman Reedus, Ed Helms and David Hasselhoff. The film will release on October 7, 2014 (iTunes, Amazon) and October 14, 2014 (VOD).
