JUSTICE LEAGUE: PART ONE Starts Filming On April 11

With Ben Affleck positioning himself for more Batman movies, Henry Cavill maintaining his Superman shape and Gal Gadot finishing up her Wonder Woman shoot for next year, EW reports the next phase is set to commence on April 11 with the start of Justice League: Part One. The film is currently stamped for a November 17, 2017 date following the release of Wonder Woman from director Patty Jenkins earlier on June 23.

“The idea that we could begin to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing,” said director Zack Snyder. “It was a little bit of an ‘about time’ moment, and I don’t blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it’s a long time coming, …But I do feel like it’s a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, ‘Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.’ But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist.”

Snyder helmed the forthcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice which opens a little over a month from now while he currently remains in the U.K. for Justice League: Part One with its Part Two opening in 2019. Other films between now and 2020 will comprise the DC Cinematic Universe from here on including David Ayer’s Suicide Squad this August, The Flash and Aquaman in 2018, Shazam in 2019 and Cyborg and The Green Lantern Core in 2020 along with other possible properties such as Blue Beetle & Booster Gold, and the long-awaited Sandman.

On that note, let’s watch Cavill pick on children for a good cause!
