Karoshi is the name of what’s next among the lot for producer and action extraordinare Chad Stahelski of late. The project, which shoots in June, has been building up over the past year with the casting additions of Isabel May (1883) and Teo Yoo (Past Lives), and his now bringing aboard Cynthia Erivo following her stint in the first of Jon M. Chu’s incumbent musical tête-a-tête, Wicked.
Takashi Doscher is directing from his own script which, according to Deadline’s Matt Grobar and Desi Gomez, “is described as a corporate thriller with a samurai twist.” Stahelski is producing via his 87Eleven Entertainment label next to, Alex Young and Jason Spitz through their deal with Lionsgate.
I haven’t seen Wicked, but I’m not disinterested. I like seeing Erivo on screen and Karoshi sounds like something right up my alley.
