KATE: Cameras Roll With Full Cast Announced For New Netflix Action Thriller Starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead

A cast roster comprised of Michiel Huisman (The Haunting of Hill House), Tadanobu Asano (Thor: Ragnarok, Mortal Kombat, upcoming Midway), Jun Kunimura (Kill Bill; Rain), Miyavi Lee Ishihara (Unbroken, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil) and newcomer Miku Martineau now join Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Woody Harrelson for new action thriller, Kate, for Netflix.

Winstead stars in the title role, a ruthless criminal operative irreversibly poisoned and with less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her enemies, all while forming an unexpected bond with the daughter of one of her past victims. Cedric Nicolas-Troyan (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) is directing from a script by Umair Aleem.

With production underway, the production announcement from this week also lists well-respected crew like stunt coordinator/second unit director Jonathan Eusebio (John Wick franchise, Birds of Prey, Deadpool), VFX Producer Taylor Rockwell (Bad Times at the El Royale, The Fate of the Furious) and production designer Dominic Watkins (The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, The Mummy, The Bourne Supremacy) with Lyle Vincent (Dreamland, Bad Education, Thoroughbreads, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) serving as director of photography.

Bryan Unkeless (I, Tonya, Bright, Birds of Prey) is producing with Kelly McCormick (Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw) and Patrick Newall (Dhaka, The Old Man And The Gun), with David Leitch and Scott Morgan exec producing.

Winstead’s latest feature endeavor will make DC Comics history at Warner Bros. Pictures with the February 7 release of Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn), from director Cathy Yan. Harrelson’s Zombieland: Double Tap lands a release from Lionsgate next month.
