Just weeks away from its forthcoming world premiere at Fantasia Festival, Cash Only helmer Malik Bader’s new action thriller, Killerman, is finally making a case for itself with a terrific new green band trailer as of Thursday. Surely I thought there would have been a corresponding red-band version on the same day but, apparently that’s not the case.
As for Killerman, actor Liam Hemsworth’s gritty new role is one who’s definitely caught a case of his own. As the trailer itself introduces, Hemsworth stars as a money launderer on a desperate search for answers after an ambitious heist and a botched getaway render him not only amnesiac, but targeted by dirty cops with millions in stolen cash and drugs at stake.
Killerman also stars Emory Cohen, Diane Guerrero, Nickola Shreli, Suraj Sharma, Mike Moh and Zlatko Buric, and opens in the U.S. on August 30 from Blue Fox. The film was announced earlier this month in the first wave of the forthcoming 23rd Fantasia Festival which will make its full line-up public very soon. The festival will run from July 11 through August 1.
