The fifth and latest chapter of director Shinsuke Sato’s Kingdom adaptation now enters a new phase after signaling production last summer in wake of the 20th anniversary ceremony for Yasuhisa Hara’s hit manga. Thus, the official title as it’s translated is Kingdom: The Decisive Battle Of Souls, with a release date set for July 17.
The latest official teaser and poster are here as well, signaling fans with a prospective reunion of characters as we follow the manga-inspired story of Shin, an orphan who works his way up the ladder amid the Warring States upheaval to become the greatest general, taking after his idol and mentor, Ohki. That story is led once more by actor Kento Yamazaki along with Ryo Yoshizawa and Kanna Hashimoto, along with Etsushi Toyokawa, and actors Shun Oguri and Yuki Yamada who now make way on the official key art.
