KUNDO Gets A New Trailer For Its North American Theatrical Release!

Filmmaker Yoon Jong-bin set out with a specific goal in mind back in Spring of last year. With a stellar cast, great script and set pieces and an amazing action director on hand, Yoon managaed to craft an amazing Robin Hood-style action adventure story filled with some colorful characters, touching stories, a dash of humor, and a layer of some of the most epic martial arts action scenes you would be lucky to see on the big screen.

That film came in the form of Kundo: Age Of The Rampant, with an ensemble cast led primarily by actors Ha Jung-Woo and Kang Dong-Wan and featuring choreography by acclaimed action director Jung Doo-Hung (Arahan: Urban Martial Arts Action, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) and it ultimately became one of the biggest movies of the season. North American distribution Well Go USA eventually acquired the rights to the movie which will now get its day in North America as Kundo for a limited theatrical release beginning August 29. I was fortunate to be able to review this movie a few weeks ago, and if you wish to get the full context of my review, CLICK HERE to check it out. Needless to say however, I enjoyed this movie, and I fully recommend seeing it on the big screen.

SYNOPSIS:

1859. The last days of the Joseon Dynasty, where the wages of greed bring poverty and death. A pack of bandits – calling themselves KUNDO – rise against the tyrants, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. In an era where status is decided by birth, this band of thieves risks their lives for honor, in the name of the poor and oppressed. But for one man, a debt of bloody revenge is owed to the aristocrat that robbed him of his family and his name.

Kundo now has a new official trailer this weekend for next week’s release. Feel free to check it out below, and visit the official website to find out where the movie will be playing in your area.
