Actress and filmmaker Jennifer Linch took to social media in the last twenty four hours to announce wrap of principal photography for Kung Fu Ghost. The independent kung fu comedy, which filmed in San Diego, California, began development and pre-production earlier this year amd commenced an almost non-stop, physically rigorous eighteen-day production schedule with Linch making her feature directing debut from a script by Ivan White.

Linch plays Daisy, a young woman who inherits a spooky old estate from her grandfather, a martial arts master whom she had never met. Upon the shocking discovery of her grandfather’s ghost and that of his young companion, William, Daisy soon finds herself at the center of a longstanding battle to protect a sacred relic from treasure hunting criminals. What unfolds is a whimsical tale of fun fantasy, romance and martial arts action, combined with shocking twists and reveals to convey a powerful message beneath the action and comedy.

Linch had been campaigning the production through several interviews in the months leading up to the production in which she cites a hopeful screening by August. Wrap on the new pic, which also inaugurates Linch’s Nameless Studio indie banner, further arrives in timely fashion as multiple productions have already shut down, and theatrical releases pulled indefinitely, while North America battles an increasing Coronavirus epidemic. Post production commences March 22.

Kung Fu Ghost joins Linch on screen with actors Noah Sargent, David S. Dawson and Roze. Robert Brooke Eldridge serves as producer, with Joe D’Amato serving as executive producer, and Lee B. Golden III serving as associate producer. The film was shot by Jerome Dolbert, and features stunt and action sequences by Shane Alexander and Jason Q. Truong, and music by recording artist, Dyathon.
