KUNG FU PANDA 3 Cast + New Release Date

New developments are up today for the upcoming production of Kung Fu Panda 3. Screenrant has provided a new slate of release dates, including the CG-animated feature co-production from Dreamworks Animation and Oriental Dreamworks, starring lead voice actor Jack Black as the title character, Po, an overweight panda bear whose love of Kung Fu takes him on a journey of self-discovery in a chance opportunity to meet his destiny as “the chosen one”, battling villains and defeating evil with the help of his idolized animal kung fu heroes, the furious five.

The report states the film has been moved up from its March 2016 date to December 23, 2015, in addition to other updates, where Variety also says actress Rebel Wilson and actors Mads Mikkelsen and Bryan Cranston are joining the cast of actors reprising their roles, including Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogan, David Cross and Dustin Hoffman. Jennifer Yuh Nelson will reclaim the director’s seat with a screenplay by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. The film will be produced by Melissa Cobb with Guillermo del Toro as executive producer.

According to Dreamworks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, the Kung Fu Panda franchise has also three more films in its slate. So it’s going to be a very interesting thing to see the KFP universe go deeper and deeper after part three, which already sets expectations high considering the third film will see Po taking on the franchise’s “most formidable villain” yet.

Stay tuned for updates!
