LET IT SNOW: Grindstone Acquires Stanislav Kapralov’s Feature Horror Debut For September Release

Stanislav Kapralov’s feature directing debut, Let It Snow, is being slated for an On-Demand September 22, 2020 release. Leading international sales company, Arclight Films, announced the move on Monday, having finalized its North American distribution deal with Grindstone Entertainment Group, a Lionsgate company.

Starring Ivanna Sakhno (The Spy Who Dumped Me, Pacific Rim: Uprising), Let It Snow centers on Mia, a free-riding snowboarder forced to survive a bloodthirsty snowmobile rider in the midst of harrowing weather conditions, after sneaking onto a restricted slope and being separated from her fiancé. Alex Hafner (Submergence, The Councellor) and Tinatin Dalakishvili (Abigail) also star from a script written by Kapralov and co-scribe Omri Rose.

The film is produced by Solar Media’s Serge Lavrenyuk, and exec produced by Marianna Novikova, and FishCorb Films’s Yan Fisher and Roger Corbi (Papillon).

“We are delighted to have our long-time friends at Grindstone Entertainment Group distribute Let It Snow in North America. Their skilled, dedicated and experienced team are the perfect group to bring the brilliantly executed standout thriller to domestic audiences. With breathtaking settings and captivating production values, Let It Snow is a tour de force,” said Arclight Films’ Chairman Gary Hamilton.

“Let It Snow is a powerful edge of your seat thriller. The sweeping snow-covered mountain footage will chill audiences to the bones. Snowboarders beware!” declared Grindstone Entertainment Group’s Stan Wertlieb.

Grindstone’s acquisition of the pic arrives on the heels of a renewal of their longstanding partnership with Lionsgate. The distribution deal was negotiated by John Fremes on behalf of Arclight Films and Stan Wertlieb on behalf of Grindstone Entertainment Group.
