Far be it for me to turn down a campaign that appeals to the fandom. Mike Le’s recent efforts toward funding upcoming feature film, Level 3, are a little over a week from its deadline and he needs your help to draw in as many Indiegogo funds as possible to help advance what he so describes as, in a nutshell, John Wick-meets-Bruce Lee by way of bygone authentic kung fu cinema a la Jackie Chan… What a nutshell!
Level 3 is set in a world where a group of underground assassins called The Order has control of the entire world. Every year, a tournament is held to follow their ancient tradition of martial arts, and to determine who is Number One, the highest honor anyone can attain. The protagonist, Gen, became number one, and decides to leave The Order to start a family. However, one cannot simply leave because in order to become Number One, he must either be defeated in unarmed combat, or die.
Level 3 hails from Avenida Productions in association with Le’s Le Era Entertainment, and Las Vegas-based stunt team, Faction Squad.
Le has since managed corral a fourth generation disciple of Ip Man, a top notch stunt coordinator, and Muay Thai legend Lisa King to name a few among his crop of Level 3 cohorts. Alas, he still needs help and the clock is definitely winding down, so if you love the genre, have a keen eye toward indie cinema and are feeling magnanimous, you know what to do.
