Liam Neeson Walks The Grim Line To Redemption In The New Trailer For A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES

Nope, nobody took anything from actor Liam Neeson this time, but that won’t stop him going above and beyond the call of duty to deliver his own brand of justice in writer and director Scott Frank’s newest crime thriller, A Walk Among The Tombstones. The film is also likely love letter to book enthusiasts familar with the original 1992 publication of the same name by novelist Lawrence Block, centered on fictional lead character, Matthew Scudder, a former NYPD detective whose story is featured in Block’s 17 novels.

The film was completed between March and October of last year and will finally make its way to the eyes of filmgoers on September 19, 2014, courtesy of Universal Pictures.

SYNOPSIS:

Formerly a detective with the NYPD, now a recovering alcoholic haunted by regrets, Matt Scudder (Neeson) has a lot to make up for. When a series of kidnappings targeting the city’s worst drug criminals escalates to grisly murder, the circuit’s ruthless leader convinces Scudder to find the culprits and bring them to bloody justice. Working as an unlicensed private detective, Matt sees what the police don’t see and treads where they most fear to. Operating just outside the law to track down the monsters responsible, Scudder stops just short of becoming one himself.
