Twitchfilm forwarded the new sales promo to hit the American Film Market for the post apocalyptic martial arts fantasy action thriller Apokalips X. The film has been about two years or longer coming with a teaser already available online, in addition to other photos and bits that have gone viral since the film’s conception.
The promo footage is brand and newly edited with English-dub, in addition to a previous Malay-language version of it which you will find at the very bottom. Apokalips X is directed by Mamat Khalid and stars Farid Kamil, Peter Davis, Jehan Miskin, Adam AF2, Iqram Dinzly, Pekin Ibrahim, Pyan Habib and Ayez Shaukat Fonseka.
SYNOPSIS:
Chemical warfare has destroyed the world leaving only a handful of teens and youngsters alive and struggling to carve out a place for them. Three groups have conquered an area which are Putih (White) headed by SRI GALA, Hitam (Black) headed by X and Tedung (Snake) is headed by KALA, a nasty conniving gang head. Three of them have their own teenage followers. But in the clan itself, they have an internal conflict – juniors keep blaming seniors for what has happened. In a power play conjured up by Tedung, Putih declares war on Hitam, though X refuses to join in the fight. They have agreed to a truce way before, and X does not want to break the truce. X lost his wife, ZARA in a fight between him and KALA. Since that moment X promised himself that he will never fight again. X’s brothers are seething! They will be destroyed by SRI GALA if they do not do something! The love blooms between two teenagers, AMAN CHAI (X’s brother) and QIQI (SRI GALA’s daughter) makes both X and SRI GALA are not happy. This will inevitably lead the two gangs to fight again, which X has been trying to avoid.
The nightmare begins again when sisters and brothers meet together in an explosive fight over the forbidden love and QIQI is severely injured. SRI GALA is furious, and goes to see PENDITA the wise man, and declares to break the truce. The Putih brotherhood starts to attach Hitam.
In the meantime, Tedung comes to see Sri Gala. Tedung wants Putih to join him and fight against Hitam. For the sake of pride, Sri Gala refuses to join with the known enemy.
Tedung brothers and sisters are now in front of X’s zone and starts the battle. X does not have any choice except to face the attack. The real fight happens between two leaders.
There are no leaders left to the gangs.
With a pair of wings and glow around them, the five of them fly to a new horizon, leaving the ordinary world.
