MARVEL'S DAREDEVIL: SEASON ONE Heads To Blu-Ray This November!

Fun fact: The not so fun fact that some people probably still don’t have Netflix. That was me about over a year and change ago until this year through a much needed assist from a long distance friend, but I, for one, can understand the brouhaha of somethings being solely exclusive to the popular streaming VoD company.

One of those things being, of course, Marvel’s Daredevil since it took off in 2015 for the first of a new slate of Marvel shows leading up to The Defenders and ultimately, Punisher taking its own route. The second season aired this Spring and much to our own approval, though still leaving non-Netflix-and-Chillers in the dark, save for what they could already scrounge together from the leaked fight scenes and drama bits around the web.

That sort of thing is hard to resist. I get it. That said, Disney is here to tell you something…which is there’s nothing to resist anymore with news via Blu-Ray.com of the first season’s forthcoming Blu-Ray release on November 8, 2016. There’s no word yet on when season two will hit kiosks all the same or those of Jessica Jones or Luke Cage which are all now streaming on Netflix.

More updates may come between now and the next few years as the shows roll out on Netflix with possible Blu-Ray releases while the fourth Marvel series in line, Marvel’s Iron Fist, premieres on March 17, 2017 starring Finn Jones and Lewis Tan. Read the rest below!

Marvel and Walt Disney Home Entertainment have announced the Blu-ray release of Daredevil: The Complete First Season, starring Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Vincent D’Onofrio and Rosario Dawson. The 13-episode first season of the action-packed comicbook drama streets on November 8th.

Synopsis: Daredevil follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), attorney by day and vigilante by night. Blinded in an accident as a child, Murdock uses his heightened senses as Daredevil, fighting crime on the streets of New York after the sun goes down. His efforts are not welcomed by powerful businessman Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) and others whose interests collide with those of Daredevil. Though Murdock’s day job portrays a man who believes in the criminal justice system, his alter ego suggests otherwise, as he takes the law into his own hands to protect his Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and the surrounding communities.

The complete first season of the Netflix Original Series was recently honored as Best New Media TV Series at the 42nd Annual Saturn Awards hosted by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films.

Daredevil is presented in 1080p with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround. Marvel and Disney have yet to detail special features.
