McQuarrie Lights The Fuse With Production Start For M:I 6 – MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

To say that there are some high hopes for the next installment of the Mission Impossible franchise would be an understatement. I reckon both returning lead actor Tom Cruise and writer/director Christopher McQuarrie have that covered planning some big stunt sequences having been planned in the past year, and they’ve now gone full speed ahead with production underway according to McQuarrie’s latest tweet below:

Plot details remain unknown but the cast will have a mix of new and returning faces with Cruise joined by Rebecca Ferguson and Alec Baldwin from the hit fifth film, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, and actors Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner reprising from previous installments; Roles attributed to actor Henry Cavill, and actresses Vanessa Kirby and Sian Brooke remain to be detailed, and with more casting news ahead.
Cruise is proucing with Don Granger, J.J. Abrams and Skydance Production’s David Ellison and Dana Goldberg for a July 27, 2018 from Paramount and Skydance.
