Front and center of the first preliminary teaser artwork for Simon McQuoid’s Mortal Kombat 2 is actor Karl Urban squarely in the persona of franchise mainstay, action star “Johnny Cage” for the film’s release. The sequel will join Urban alongside a mix of new and returning characters and favorites from the franchise including Lewis Tan, Ludi Lin, Jessica McNamee, Mehcad Brooks, Joe Taslim, Josh Lawson, Max Huang, and Chin Han and Emmy winners of late, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Tadanobu Asano.
The film will also star Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Desmond Chan, Damion Herriman, Martyn Ford, Ana Thu Nguyen, CJ Bloomfield, and more. Simon McQuoid returns to the director’s chair for the sequel with a script by Jeremy Slater.
Mortal Kombat 2 opens in theaters on October 24 from Warner Bros. Pictures.
