I read a comment on YouTube beneath the official trailer for action thriller Mutiny by someone that said he was starting to think these films are just documentaries of Jason Statham’s life. I thought that was hilarious, but it’s a plus if you know the man and his work, and from a production label like Statham’s Punch Palace, you can believe Mutiny is a safe bet.
In MUTINY, after witnessing his billionaire boss’s murder and being framed for the crime, Cole Reed (Jason Statham) boards a cargo ship on a one-man crusade to avenge his boss’ death only to discover an international conspiracy.
There’s no rating for this film yet but judging by the trailer, I would imagine taking F-bombs, bullets, blunt objects and hooks to the face and catching the business end of a speargun ought to allude to something for more mature audiences anyway. Just my two cents.
Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller, and Adrian Lester also star from director Jean-François Richet. Mutiny opens in theaters on August 21 from Lionsgate.
