MY LUCKY STARS: Join Scott Adkins For A Live Screening/Commentary This Friday Evening

Tickets are now on sale at 36 Cinema for a livestreamed event of Sammo Hung’s 1985 film, My Lucky Stars. The event, presented in association with the Made In Hong Kong Film Festival which held its 25th annual event last month, will be hosted this Friday by actor Scott Adkins with a live, interactive commentary where fans will also be able to ask questions during the film.

The livestream is the latest move for Adkins into the online film discussion forum since production halted at the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic for his new Dolph Lundgren-directed action thriller, Castle Falls. A release date for that project is in tow for next year, while fans tuning into his YouTube channel throughout the summer can so far endulge a raft of interviews between Adkins and a bevy of action stars all around the world.

A loose follow-up to Winners and Sinners, My Lucky Stars centers on a Hong Kong cop who enlists his former childhood friends from the orphanage to help him rescue his partner and bring an end to a crime syndicate boss in Japan, and his gang of ninjas. Hung headlines the pic next to Sibelle Hu, Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao, and actors Eric Tsang, Richard Ng, Charlie Chin and Stanley Fung.
