A24 has a proper trailer out for director Jiao Zi’s animated adventure sequel, Ne Zha 2. Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh leads the voice over cast for the film which includes Crystal Lee, Vincent Rodriguez III, and Aleks Le.
A rebellious young boy, Ne Zha, is feared by the gods and born to mortal parents with wild, uncontrolled powers. Now he’s faced with an ancient force intent on destroying humanity, he must grow up to become the hero the world needs.
Ne Zha 2 enjoyed explosive box office earnings from Chinese New Year back in January. A24, in association with CMC Pictures, will roll the film out in theaters, IMAX, 3D and other premium formats in North America, Australia and New Zealand beginning August 22.
