The Wolverine gets a North American theatrical release on July 26, 2013, and several world releases thereafter. The film features actor Hugh Jackman returning as the title character, forced to confront life after fighting as an X-Man and the ghosts of his past, and even worse, his own mortality. And as if things weren’t bad enough, his now-defunct mutant healing factor pretty much ups the stakes when it comes to defending himself against his latest new enemy in the form of katana wielding thugs riding outside of a speeding bullet train in Japan, as can be seen in the latest clip courtesy of Machinima.
In modern day Japan, Wolverine is out of his depth in an unknown world as he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
