The guys at IGN have provided a new motion poster for the upcoming science fiction action horror adventure thriller, I, Frankenstein. Actor Aaron Eckhart makes his way back to the big screen as Frankenstein’s creature, a genetically enhanced being who survives the years through present day due to a genetic quirk in his creation, and stumbles into a gothic metropolis, where he is caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans. Prior to filiming, Eckhart underwent three months of fight training with Ron Balicki (The Prodigy, Sinners And Saints) who says of Eckhart, “The guy became very proficient in Kali, the art I teach.”
SYNOPSIS:
Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein’s creation Adam (Eckhart) finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.
From the creators of the hit supernatural saga, Underworld, comes the action thriller ‘I, Frankenstein’, written for the screen and directed by Stuart Beattie based on the graphic novel ‘I, Frankenstein’ by Kevin Grevioux, and brought to life by a cast that includes Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, Socratis Otto, Mahesh Jadu, Caitlin Stasey and Aden Young as Victor Frankenstein.
The film is directed and co-written by Stuart Beattie, whose previous credits also include Collateral and G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra. Stunt coordinators Chris Anderson and Kyle Gardiner (Killer Elite) designed the action sequences. Lionsgate will be handling distribution of the film, slated for 3D release on January 24, 2014.
