In Heian times, almost a thousand years ago, most believed in the existences they could not see.  People, demons, and spirits lived in distant forests or mountains, and in the dark corners of the towns. The Emperor stood at the apex of the government, and aristocrats and officials who served under him decided policies by divination.

The seers who did this were called Onmyoji (Yin Yang masters).

Among many prospective masters was Abe no Seimei, young and handsome, yet unlike any other students at the school.  He avoided communicating with others and favored solitude.  He was also rumored to be a “Fox child” and could use black magic.

One day Seimei is called upon Minamoto no Hiromasa, an aristocrat to help him solve a case about a strange incident in which the chord of a koto (Japanese traditional music instrument) of Princess Yoshiko keeps breaking by itself every night. Seimei reluctantly agrees to help out Hiromasa, not knowing the vicious conspiracy and a powerful curse which awaits him, one that will engulf the entire Heian-kyo capital…!!!

That’s the wind-up and the pitch, kids. Now catch the goods in the core assets below!
