Paul Walker Gets A Few Cuts In A New Set Photo From BRICK MANSIONS

On Thursday, Collider took to the web to share a new set of photos from upcoming releases and current productions, including one photo featured over at Indiewire, the first from the set of director Camille Delamare‘s American parkour action thriller remake, Brick Mansions, based on Pierre Morrel’s 2004 French-language hit, Banlieue B13, which starred Parkour trendsetter, actor David Belle and actor/fight choreographer Cyril Raffaelli. The photo features lead actor Paul Walker, inheriting Raffaelli’s previous role as a cop reluctantly partnered with a street smart freerunner to recover a weapon of mass destruction from a major drug pusher within the ghetto known as “Brick Mansions”.

Belle will reprise his role for Delamare‘s American remake in his debut lead role with Walker, opposite actor and Tom Yum Goong 2 co-star RZA returning once more to the fray as action cinema villain, sitting in for actor Bibi Naceri who also co-wrote the 2004 film. EuropaCorp and Relativity Media are co-financing the film with Lucy helmer Luc Besson providing the script with longtime co-scribe Robert Mark Kamen (Kiss Of The Dragon, Taken, Taken 2).
No release date has yet been set.
Besson also co-scribed director McG’s upcoming redemption thriller, Three Days To Kill, starring Kevin Costner (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit), Hailee Steinfeld (Ender’s Game) and Amber Heard (Machete Kills) and is set for a February 21, 2014 release. Besson’s sci-fi action thriller, Lucy with actress Scarlett Johansson is expected to wrap up post production by next year.
Walker is currently starring in Fast And Furious 7 from director James Wan and is set to release on July 11, 2014 from Universal Pictures.
