Just a little more info is out as of Friday thanks to some sterling updates from IF magazine’s Jackie Keast on the current production of Relentless. Spirit Media has acquired worldwide sales rights on the new film which is currently in production in Western Sydney.
Multifaceted martial artist and actor Bren Foster takes to the director’s chair once more following the rollicking success of his starring 2024 debut helmer, Life After Fighting. As the report notes, Relentless “centres on a former soldier and fighter forced back into the brutal underground arena where he’s faced with the fight of his life – not against an opponent, but against time itself.”
Amanda Righetti (The Mentalist), Matt Passmore, Aaron Glenane, Callan Mulvey and Matuse round out the cast. Foster is directing from a script he wrote, as well as producing via his Spinning Plates label with Navid Bahadori.
“Relentless isn’t just about fighting – it’s about what drives us to keep going when everything else is lost,” says Foster.
“Filming in the ever-evolving creative centre of Western Sydney allowed us to capture the grit, energy, and authentic feel of the story – bringing a slice of local Australian life to a global audience.
