Things are electric this week in London where Star Wars Celebration Europe is underway. Disney and Lucasfilm are in full tilt with their latest slate of planning and production with the eighth installment of Star Wars just about wrapped for its release next year, and so before then, we have director Gareth Edwards on hand to bring us a truly warm, stylish and respectful take on the canon with a spin-off that opens the door for new heroes and villains to enter the fray between the main canon.
For this, we get Rogue One: A Star Wars Story with actress Felicity Jones and actor Diego Luna leading the way in a story centered on a plan by the rebellion to steal the Death Star. No doubt, we can expect a few jewels along the way as the franchise evolves from here and into the next films – all of it very exciting as we slowly approach the holiday season. Alas, we now have a first official poster to headline things a bit more as well as a fresh new behind-the-scenes sizzle reel with all the trimmings.
You get glimpses of both aforementioned actors as well as action star Donnie Yen, and actors Jiang Wen, Riz Ahmed and Ben Mendelssohn to name a few in addition to some really cool, explosive and stunning shots of the work it took to make this film a reality.
